Hmmm... this was an odd one. Perhaps the most unique attempt at Spq2 design ever, but it didn't appeal to me as a gamer. The idea is that you are a marine who shockingly gets seperated from his platoon, and finds himself trapped within the confines of a wicked Strogg "training center". The focus is on puzzle solving. Figuring out which way to go, and in what order, is the biggest part of this 3 map set. The challenge lies in using your wits to 'out-think' the evil Strogg who has masterminded the facility in which you find yourself trapped. Perform the proper actions in the proper sequence, and you'll move right along. Try and bully your way through the level - and you are a dead man. Many kudos need to be awarded to the author, who has put huge amounts of effort and thought into this level, which the player will see evidence of in the opening sequence of the first map. Just look at the extremely well documented and arranged text file, and you know that this guy means business. While I commend the maps on their uniqueness, and the incredible thought put into them - they are not my cup of tea. At heart I'll always be a sucker for the "brutal action in gorgeous architecture, with just a pinch of puzzle solving" maps. These three maps are technically flawless, well thought out, and will challenge any skill level of player. If that's what you crave, you may curse me for my low rating, but if you are a player like myself - then you may find some enjoyment here, but will not find these maps to be at the top of your own personal list.
